Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our Service department. This position works closely with Service Managers and requires expertise in refrigeration principles, mechanical and electrical systems, and safety regulations to ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably. A Service Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and support of industrial refrigeration equipment for our customers. A working knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration and electrical controls is required. Schedule
Monday - Friday (45-60 hours per week) Responsibilities
Repair and maintenance support for industrial accounts in food and beverage and refrigerated storage equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment in industrial applications Apply knowledge of screw and reciprocal compressors, electrical troubleshooting for ammonia central systems, and control/alarm systems to inspections and preventative maintenance Follow all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; HVAC tech school preferred Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain RETA levels 1 & 2 certification preferred Motor alignment experience a plus Must be able to work in a tobacco-free workplace Pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and motor vehicle record checks Safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment and regular drug testing Requires physical condition to climb ladders, wear a respirator, work 10-12 hour days, and occasional heavy lifting Must be able to wear a respirator and pass a fit test Benefits
