Overview
Background & Purpose of the Job. The purpose of this job is to successfully implement Innovation, Savings, and Capacity projects and to explore and introduce new technology to the Beauty & Wellbeing Category. You are a "Change Catalyst" focused on delivering business value and engineering solutions through technical expertise. You will be responsible for understanding and guiding the strategic elements of the site packaging systems and the development of the Long-Term Technology Plan. The position requires performance within the Liquids Packaging Engineering discipline to provide Unilever with world-class capability to launch and manufacture Beauty & Wellbeing products. What You’ll Do
Be involved early in projects from the Idea Phase through Post Start-Up Support in cooperation with R&D, Strategic Planning, Innovation Management, and the local Supply Chain. Define technical scope. Define and manage high-level cost and timeline estimates. Communicate with and manage stakeholders. Plan and execute trial/qualification activities. Manage risk. Job activities follow the Early Equipment Management / Early Product Management (EEM/ EPM) methodology and project management best practices. What You’ll Need To Succeed
B.S. or B.E. degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years’ experience in related Engineering or R&D in FMCG/related industry or engineering consultancy, with specific experience in process or packing, depending on the role. Knowledge of chemical process/packing equipment principles and hygienic design. Project and time management skills to coordinate multiple work streams and timelines. Understanding of innovation management workflows. Knowledge of WCM and EEM/ EPM methodologies (or other continuous improvement methodologies). Previous experience in CPGs, especially in Home, Personal Care, and Beauty & Wellbeing product technologies. Interaction with outside partners, construction and engineering firms, and in-house teams. Coordination of engineering packages with knowledge of industry standards and drawing/document systems such as CAD, Procore, Primavera, and MS Project. Understanding of Plant Utilities including Air, Steam, and Water Systems (including RO and deionized) as well as wastewater treatment. Understanding of Packaging systems and their integration into plant manufacturing systems. Pay and Benefits
Pay : The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever considers a wide range of factors in compensation decisions including skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business needs. Bonus : This position is bonus eligible. Long-Term Incentive (LTI) : This position is LTI eligible. Benefits : Unilever employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan.
