Overview
TMC USA seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with PCB design expertise to lead R&D projects, support product life cycles, and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities
Lead and support PCB design projects from concept to manufacturing release.
Develop and improve printed circuit board designs using Cadence Allegro (or similar design tools).
Manage schematic capture, BOM structures, and new part number creation for product release.
Utilize Windchill PDM (or similar PLM tools) for documentation and data management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Quality to ensure successful product development.
Resolve design and fabrication discrepancies through design modifications and vendor communication.
Participate in engineering change order meetings and provide technical support for manufacturing defect analysis and resolution.
Mentor and coach junior electrical engineers on best practices in PCB design and troubleshooting.
Conduct testing, qualification, and troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits and power electronics.
Propose and implement innovative engineering solutions to optimize processes and reduce backlogs.
What We Expect From You
8–10 years of experience in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, with a focus on PCB design and product development.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design and power electronics.
Hands-on experience with Cadence Allegro or similar PCB design tools.
Proven experience with Windchill PDM or equivalent PLM systems.
Familiarity with qualification of electronic components (IGBTs, Magnetics, Thyristors, AC/DC capacitors, fans, etc.).
Proficient in use of test equipment (CRO, AC/DC sources, multimeters, data loggers, etc.).
Ability to design and implement PCB solutions that meet electrical, EMC, safety, thermal, and DFM/DFA requirements.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to run independent tests.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across multiple disciplines.
Detail-oriented and proactive problem-solver.
