The Supplier Quality Engineer 3 will work with suppliers to REPKON USA to ensure that all Quality requirements imposed by purchase orders and contracts are understood and complied with. This role involves working closely with multi-disciplinary teams within REPKON USA, subcontractor personnel, and customer representatives.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet product and schedule requirements.

Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems.

Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.

Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPIs, including Supplier On Time Delivery, Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).

Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve supplier quality issues.

Collaborate with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensure corrective actions are implemented and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs.

Provide support to suppliers regarding root cause and corrective/preventive action analysis through use of various tools and methodologies, such as FMEA, Fishbone, A-3, Fault tree analysis, cause mapping, SPC, and other relevant charts and diagrams.

Manage and maintain supplier performance metrics, assessment, and certification programs.

Train suppliers to execute specific quality system processes.

Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure supplier compliance with contractual requirements.

Represent the company brand to customer, supplier, and teammate companies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role. In the absence of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience required.

Strong knowledge of quality assurance, supplier quality, ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Project.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and drive actions.

Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies including root cause and corrective/preventive action determinations and processes.

Excellent problem-solving skills, good judgement, and attention to detail.

Acts with integrity, works collaboratively, and supports continual improvement.

Preferred Skills

Certification as a Lead Auditor

Advanced degree or certifications related to relevant engineering discipline

Experience in Supplier Quality Assurance with International / OCONUS companies

Other Requirements

Travel: up to 50%, to support other locations manufacturing sites, suppliers and customers.

Work Environment: Office work environment and supplier manufacturing locations
