Our client, a small, but well-established CPA firm, is seeking an experienced
Tax Supervisor/Manager
to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with firm leadership, manage client relationships, and play a key role in both staff development and business growth. They’re open to Tax Seniors looking to take the next step. Can be flexible with hybrid/remote work. They have offices in Pembroke and Boston. Will want more on-site during busy season, but can be flexible overall. Description below: Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review Individual (Form 1040), Partnership (Form 1065), Corporate (Forms 1120 & 1120S), Trust (Form 1041), and Non-Profit (Form 990) tax returns. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all client-related returns. Supervise, train, and mentor staff members while monitoring workload and progress. Conduct federal and state tax research and provide guidance on complex issues. Advise clients on SALT requirements including pass-through entity tax reporting, sales tax, nexus, and employment tax compliance. Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for clients. Respond to federal and state tax notices on behalf of clients. Collaborate with firm leadership to manage budgets, billing, and engagement profitability. Build and maintain strong client relationships to serve as a trusted advisor. Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting (CPA firm environment). CPA or JD preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MST or MBA preferred. Strong technical knowledge in tax preparation, review, compliance, and research. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and CCH ProSystem fx Tax Suite (Document, Workflow, Time/Billing). Experience with Intuit ProSeries is a plus. Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Benefits Include
