Leadership Position Rehoboth Beach Country Club is seeking an energetic and experienced
Racquets Director
to lead and elevate our tennis and pickleball programs. This highly visible leader will deliver exceptional member experiences through high-quality instruction, engaging programs, and strong community building. The Racquets Director will oversee program development, staff leadership, and racquet operations while serving as the enthusiastic face of racquet sports at RBCC. Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Programming
Teach private lessons, group clinics, and junior/adult classes in both tennis and pickleball. Develop and execute seasonal program calendars, including leagues, tournaments, and social events. Create level-based instruction for all ages and abilities, from beginner to advanced. Build vibrant junior racquet programs to engage youth and families. Member Engagement & Community Building
Build strong, lasting relationships with members to encourage participation and retention. Host social mixers, exhibitions, and special events to foster a fun, inclusive racquet culture. Serve as a visible and approachable leader across all racquet facilities. Operations & Leadership
Oversee daily racquet operations, ensuring courts, equipment, and facilities are well maintained. Hire, mentor, and manage seasonal racquet staff and assistant professionals. Collaborate with Club leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and marketing initiatives. Maintain accurate program records and support overall operational excellence. Lead with professionalism, positivity, and integrity while modeling Club standards. Promote a collaborative team environment and resolve challenges with diplomacy and creativity. Qualifications
Proven experience as a Racquets Professional or Director. Strong teaching background in both tennis and pickleball. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated success in program development and member engagement. Knowledge of racquet facility operations and event management. Strategic thinker with experience working alongside leadership teams, committees, or boards. Inspiring leader with a track record of motivating teams and enhancing member experience. Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement. Certifications : USPTA, PTR, PPR, or similar strongly preferred. Personal Attributes
