Overview

The Director of Children's Ministry (DCM) is responsible for ministry to children from babies through 6th grade, under the direction of the Executive Director of Family Ministries. The DCM contextualizes the mission, vision and values of Community of Hope within Children's Ministry across campuses, recruits and trains volunteer teams to lead weekend services at the Loxahatchee campus, and serves as a resource for Children's Ministry leaders at other campuses. The DCM also supports and resources families as they raise children who know and love Jesus. Responsibilities

Model Biblical priorities and upholding the core values of Community of Hope. Demonstrates a growing personal relationship with Christ and integrity in words, relationships and actions. Identify, recruit, train and lead youth and adult volunteers; maintain weekly schedules to ensure weekend classrooms are well-staffed; develop high-capacity volunteers into leaders; build a culture of ownership and care. Oversee implementation of curriculum; ensure teachers are trained and classrooms are prepared for full engagement; provide guidance to other campuses on curriculum use. Plan and execute large-scale events (e.g., VBS-type experiences, overnight camps for 4th-5th graders, Easter outreach, parenting events); continually evaluate and innovate to reach more families. Develop strategies to involve children in broader church life and engage families to be formed in faith as a whole; advocate for children’s involvement and create intergenerational environments. Provide oversight to staff teams (e.g., Loxahatchee Kids Coordinator and paid childcare team for evening adult small groups) and alignment for Kids of Hope across campuses through regular meetings and visits. Attend weekend services to connect with volunteers and families and oversee Kids of Hope operations; be present at services to receive and manage details. Qualifications

Devoted and growing Christian follower with involvement in a local church. Love and passion for children and families; commitment to sharing the gospel and equipping parents as primary disciplers. Volunteer leadership experience: recruiting volunteers, building teams, managing volunteers, and fostering an ownership culture; ability to work with both youth and adult volunteers. Highly organized, fast-paced, and able to manage multiple tasks; self-starter with flexibility in a variety of settings. Creative thinker with ability to create engaging environments and events that draw families back weekly. Commitment to continuous improvement and learning in children’s ministry strategy. Experience in teaching and leading across all age groups of children and adults. Team-oriented: works effectively within staff and ministry teams; building teams is essential. Administrative skills: detail-oriented; manages planning of weekend services, events, communications, budget, and metrics. Educational/Experience

Experience leading children and adults in various teaching environments; education or degree related to ministry, children, or education is required. Benefits
