Sr Manager, Product Owner

role at Liberty Mutual Insurance. This position leads a portfolio focused on policy migration to the Guidewire Policy Center for Personal Line products. It is responsible for defining the strategic migration vision, building and leading teams, and coordinating the gathering, prioritization, design and execution of complex migration requirements across Personal Line products. Base pay range

$134,000.00/yr - $254,000.00/yr Core Responsibilities

Migration strategy: Define and own the end-to-end strategic vision for migrating open and closed books to Guidewire Policy Center. Migration roadmap: Lead the development of a multi-year migration roadmap and coordinate decision-making on sequencing, prioritization and trade-offs. Team management: Build and lead a Product Owner team required for the multi-year migration roadmap. Functional requirements: Drive cross-domain requirement gathering and business designs with subject matter experts to create and maintain migration backlogs. Delivery management: Oversee delivery of migration backlogs, manage dependencies across workstreams, and resolve issues as needed. Risk management: Serve as primary point of escalation to flag, monitor and manage migration risks. Stakeholder engagement: Set clear expectations and regularly communicate migration visions, progress, issues and wins to key cross-domain stakeholders. Change management: Support the change management journey to ensure continuous buy-in and mitigate resistance. Resource alignment: Work with IT and other business unit counterparts to ensure resource alignment in support of product vision and roadmaps. Ideal Candidate Will Have

Strong insurance knowledge and deep understanding of product offerings, pricing, underwriting, business processes, product and servicing applications, and migration tooling. Experience with migration or large-scale transformation is a plus. Strong strategic thinking and thought leadership to support business and technical designs and optimal sequencing. Proven ability to learn quickly, form critical perspective, and remain open to changing views. Resilience, perseverance and determination. Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, etc.) and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in business, engineering, technology and/or consulting. Master’s degree preferred. Ability to set clear priorities for product and understand business value impacts. Technical proficiency to oversee quarterly and sprint planning with an informed, independent voice. Strong influencing skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders; willingness to dissent when needed. Leadership to coach and inspire both direct reports and matrixed teams. Comfort with decision-making under uncertainty in a fast-paced environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely. About Us
