Overview
DMB Construction Corp is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Senior Estimator - Prevailing Wage/Public Works to join our Estimating Department. In this role, you\'ll contribute to pricing and planning both new projects and restoration projects across NYC and the surrounding areas. Your expertise in masonry and concrete restoration will drive accurate project costing and help shape the future of historic architecture. Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for masonry and concrete restoration projects Review architectural/engineering drawings and specs to define scope Conduct quantity take-offs and price estimates using knowledge of manpower abilities and vendor quotes Coordinate with clients, architects, vendors, and subcontractors; issue RFIs as needed Submit complete bid packages with all assumptions and breakdowns Attend pre-bid meetings and walkthroughs to evaluate logistics and site conditions Maintain logs, cost tracking systems, and estimating databases Support handoffs to project management teams and assist with value engineering Qualifications
5+ years of experience in estimating for commercial or municipal construction Deep knowledge of masonry and/or concrete restoration is required Familiarity with union labor and prevailing wage work is essential Able to read and interpret architectural and engineering documents accurately Proficient with quantity take-offs, budgets, and scope development Strong communication and organizational skills Associate\'s degree preferred Benefits
