Masis Professional Group has partnered with a manufacturing company in Chicopee, MA and is seeking a Production Manager. The Production Manager will oversee the Chicopee location's production processes to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved. The role focuses on improving organizational production processes and leading a team to meet objectives. Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr. The actual pay will be based on skills and experience; talk with your recruiter to learn more. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages all resources in a manner that promotes teamwork, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives. Ensures all EHS standards, processes and procedures are followed; works with the EHS Site Lead to improve programs to exceed objectives. Ensures all Quality standards, processes and procedures are followed; collaborates with Quality and Engineering to improve programs and exceed objectives. Aligns production goals with broader organizational objectives. Guides the team through changing priorities and unexpected issues with clarity and confidence. Plans and establishes production and manufacturing priorities. Monitors production data (loads, capacities, quantities, delivery dates) and advises on production schedules and priorities in response to equipment or operating issues. Ensures on-time delivery to internal and external customers. Communicates monthly production requirements and coordinates activities with supporting departments to optimize resource use, machines and equipment. Develops and implements strategies to correct operational problems and improve throughput. Develops long-range production plans and capital improvements. Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains staff; provides timely performance evaluations. Oversees daily workflow and collaborates with other manufacturing leaders to set and assess priorities across teams. Establishes daily/weekly/monthly schedules and ensures timelines are achieved and communicated. Monitors manpower and training plans to meet area targets. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement to eliminate problems and reduce costs; emphasizes training, teamwork, and communication. Ensures compliance with factory rules, regulations, and union agreements; supports progressive discipline and develops consistency among supervisory ranks; develops a progressive approach to union-related issues. Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. Develops, mentors, and leads teams to achieve significant results and develop future leaders. Promotes accountability, collaboration and continuous learning; leaders are determined, results-oriented, persuasive, and effective communicators. Maintains personal accountability and sets a high standard for self-discipline. It is the expectation of the company that Managers/Supervisors accomplish these goals by working to a high ethical standard and complying with all company policies, work rules, union agreements, and applicable laws with minimal supervision. Requirements
10+ years of progressive experience in production or manufacturing management, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to meet production targets, improve efficiency and maintain quality standards. Experience developing and implementing production schedules, managing workflow and optimizing resource allocation. Ability to analyze production metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma or other methods. Familiarity with compliance standards including OSHA and Quality Management systems (IATF, ISO). History of mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of safety, accountability and performance. Experience working in a union plant is required. Employment Type
