Overview

Talent Finders is seeking a mid-level Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EIC) Engineer with 3–5+ years of experience to support Oil & Gas and Utility projects. In this hands-on design role, you’ll develop complete electrical and I&C drawing packages, perform core calculations and equipment specifications, collaborate with multi-discipline teams, support vendor/client coordination, and participate in construction support. The position offers growth into advanced technical, project, and client-facing responsibilities. Responsibilities

Develop complete electrical drawing packages: one-lines, area classification, grounding, lighting layouts Create conduit/cable routing plans, conduit and cable schedules Produce interconnection diagrams, panel layouts, and termination drawings Perform electrical calculations: load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, cable/conduit sizing Select/specify switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, UPS, distribution panels Assist with bills of materials, equipment datasheets, and procurement support Use electrical analysis software (ETAP, SKM) for system studies Prepare and maintain I&C packages: instrument location plans, instrument/I-O lists Collaborate on P&IDs with process and mechanical teams Assist in specifying PLCs, RTUs, instrumentation, and control system components Coordinate with vendors for instrumentation/control panel submittals and integration Contribute to proposals: preliminary scope, budget, schedule inputs Support site walkdowns and data collection for retrofit and greenfield projects Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to produce coordinated drawing packages Interface with clients and vendors on scope, schedule, and technical requirements Participate in construction support: RFIs, redlines, field verifications Apply quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related ABET-accredited program (Master’s may substitute for 1 year experience) 3+ years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred) Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures Proficiency with electrical design tools and drafting (AutoCAD, MicroStation; 2D/3D rendering tools) Experience with electrical analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM) Ability to perform core electrical calculations and develop complete drawing packages Familiarity with I&C documentation: I/O lists, loop/ladder/wiring diagrams, control panel layouts Experience selecting/specifying electrical and I&C equipment (PLCs, RTUs, instrumentation, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, UPS) Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering analysis programs) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and critical thinking Strong attention to detail, facilitation, collaboration, organization, and team-building skills EIT certification preferred Up to $160k plus bonuses and benefits Who We Are
