This position will be based in Austin, Texas.
Position Overview: The Timing business unit at Skyworks creates high-performance clock, oscillator, and network synchronization products for 5G infrastructure, optical networking, and data center markets. These devices are found in every digital and mixed-signal product made today as they provide the clocks, or "heartbeats," necessary for products ranging from consumer devices to long-haul communication networks.
Responsibilities
Directly support customers designing products using Skyworks timing devices.
Help evaluate and debug customer issues in the laboratory.
Develop technical documentation to aid customers with their designs.
Design and develop customer evaluation boards.
Train sales representatives and field applications engineers (FAEs) on our products and solutions.
Requirements
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least 2 years of experience (an advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience required).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A broad understanding of analog and digital electronics (PLL experience preferred).
The ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems, circuits, and devices.
Knowledge of proper and effective use of lab test equipment.
Experience with basic programming concepts.
Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies.
Experience with schematic capture and PCB Design.
Compensation and Benefits The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $76,100 - $138,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
