Overview
We are seeking a
Nuclear Medicine Technologist , also referred to as a Nuclear Med Tech. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures and therapeutic treatments using radioactive materials. They help in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions by providing valuable information about the structure and function of organs and tissues within the body using nuclear medicine imaging techniques. Their expertise in radioactive materials, imaging technology, patient care, and radiation safety contributes to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services in our hospital. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/ PRN as needed.

Responsibilities The Nuclear Medicine Technologist- PRN works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality imaging. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist - PRN works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.
Qualifications Education and Work Experience
Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH, ARRT or NMTCB Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
At least one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred
Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment preferred.
Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
Graduate of a program accredited by JRCNMT or CAMRT.
Current BCLS (AHA) required.
Proficient computer skills.
