This job posting is for a Quality Coordinator for the *** – Cincinnati plant. In this position, the selected candidate will have responsibilities including but not limited to: leading quality/food safety activities such as the plant sensory program, quality notifications, holds, allergen and organic inspections, sampling, food safety physical and documentation audits, and finished product pathogen testing. Like all Quality department professionals at ***, this position will lead initiatives which specifically protect our brands. Responsibilities
This role will require high learning agility, exceptional verbal and written skills with a broad range of audiences. This candidate shall also have a desire to work with and through others for continuous improvement in the areas of quality and food safety. Rework paperwork completion and organization Issuing HiFi Holds and Blue Yonder releases to help Logistics Weekly hold reports Entering quality notifications in SAP for defective materials or packaging Lead the plant sensory program, documentation, and gold standard management Micro/allergen testing organization and scheduling with Logistics department. Allergen inspection leadership and documentation Auditing HACCP, Control Point, and Control Measure documentation for compliance Carton approvals Pink tag inspections for Maintenance Food Safety Program Receiving inspections for any suspect materials or conditions Food safety (FSRA) internal physical inspections Learn and understand regulatory and food safety requirements (GMP’s, HACCP, Allergen Management, Organic, etc.) Code date and approved series audits. Verify that the packaging series for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging are approved. Support vendor equipment calibrations and repair. OPL creation/revision for job responsibilities Additional responsibilities as assigned Required Skills/Experiences
Bachelor’s degree mandatory (preferably in Engineering/Food Science related fields) Well-developed communication skills – verbal, written, and PC-based – and demonstrated ability to communicate internally and externally at all levels and across disciplines. Must be able to work flexible schedule. PC skills- proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Preferred Qualifications
Quality/Food safety work experience in a manufacturing environment for 1-2 years preferred HACCP certification Preventive Controls certification Other food safety training and certifications Demonstrated proven performance and attendance. Practical and creative approach to problem solving and troubleshooting. Demonstrate leadership, influence teams, and apply sound judgment to decision-making. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time. Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule to support plant operations across all shifts Ability to become proficient user of electronic systems within the Quality function Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities Ability to compile, retrieve data and report results on *** standard data collection systems and Microsoft Excel Ability to work closely in partnership with supervisors and operators to influence quality and food safety decisions and to support productivity. Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects while performing everyday tasks. Strong commitment to quality, food safety, and customer service.
