Overview
Temporary Engineer, Systems & Infrastructure Administrator position at KPMG US. Nine-month assignment to join the Digital Nexus technology organization. Responsibilities
Provide administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications running on Windows and Linux operating systems. Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and address impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure, including installation and testing of new enterprise system software and hardware releases. Work directly with users to prioritize requests and regularly update them on progress and estimated delivery timelines. Coordinate support escalation communication; participate in the development and maintenance of appropriate project technical documentation including design, configuration, and installation details. Coordinate end-to-end application testing, defect management, change and release management, and escalation processes; provide on-call production support including off-hours and weekend support. Qualifications
Minimum one year of recent experience operating in a large enterprise environment with understanding of systems at scale; technical skills in Windows Server and Linux operating systems; working knowledge of SANs. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft technologies including IIS, Microsoft Cluster Service, Certificates, and PowerShell; experience with VMware vSphere and Cisco UCS platform administration is a plus; strong troubleshooting using Windows OS tools (Event Logs, Perfmon, NetSH, PowerShell). Ability to automate routine tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and experience deploying software across the server estate. Experience with Datadog, SCOM, Qualys, and ServiceNow is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
