Overview Stefanini Group is hiring for an Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring reliable and efficient operations of physical or virtual servers, private cloud, networks (including telecommunication), PCs, and other business critical infrastructure components. The role involves overseeing the technology infrastructure that supports the business and assisting internal users in troubleshooting and escalating issues that impact system health, as well as setting up user systems and operating systems.
Responsibilities
Manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, mainframes, telecommunication networks and virtualization platforms.
Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain robust security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
Configure and maintain networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS, wireless access points) to support internal and external network communication.
Establish and maintain data backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
Monitor usage patterns of enterprise systems to identify potential issues, track SLA metrics, and proactively resolve them to ensure availability and reliability.
Analyze system capacity and performance trends to anticipate future infrastructure needs and provide investment recommendations.
Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades (service packs, patches, hot fixes, enhancements).
Design and implement IaC scripts and automated processes to reduce manual intervention and improve repeatability and testability of infrastructure changes.
Troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues escalated by tech support and document resolutions in the knowledge repository.
Set up and configure user systems, including operating systems, software applications, and hardware devices.
Provide on-call support and automate Windows Server deployment and configuration using CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Terraform, vRA/vRO, Habitat, Chef, Ruby, PowerShell).
Provide L3 engineering support to Operations for Windows Server OS and support cross-team deployment of Windows Server infrastructure to multiple environments.
Review and evaluate monthly Windows Security updates for Microsoft Server OS and determine criticality levels based on mitigating and environmental factors.
Qualifications
7-10 years of experience.
Deep technical knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems (2012R2/2016/2019).
Deep technical knowledge of Windows PowerShell.
Technical knowledge of Windows Internet Information Services (IIS).
Technical knowledge of Windows Clustering.
5+ years of demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS and related technologies.
5+ years of experience with Windows Server OS for virtual machines and physical hardware.
Experience with VMware and HPE server technologies.
Experience with scripting and programming languages with a focus on PowerShell (PowerShell, Batch, Ruby, Groovy, etc).
Education
Bachelor's Degree
