This position is ideal for someone passionate about data quality, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, solutions-driven environment. Role Overview
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing master data governance across multiple domains including product, customer, pricing, vendor, and finance. You’ll manage a team of analysts, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals and compliance standards. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Master Data Management and supports both core and satellite business units operating within a shared ERP environment. Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of master data analysts, ensuring high performance and professional growth. Establish and maintain governance frameworks including policies, SOPs, data dictionaries, and control mechanisms. Provide actionable insights to business leaders to improve data quality and reduce inefficiencies. Identify and implement solutions to enhance data architecture, accuracy, and maintenance processes. Promote the ERP system as the single source of truth for master data. Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX). Conduct root cause analysis for data issues and implement preventative measures. Support strategic initiatives such as acquisitions and system integrations. Monitor and assess master data practices and lead cleanup projects to improve accuracy. Contribute to the development and execution of the master data strategy. Leadership Responsibilities
Full management responsibility for hiring, performance reviews, training, and team development. Provide clear guidance, set expectations, and evaluate outcomes. Lead cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment with broader business objectives. Candidate Profile
You are a detail-oriented, process-driven leader with a strong technical foundation and excellent interpersonal skills. You thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable managing multiple priorities. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in master data management or related fields. Experience managing multiple data domains within an ERP system (SAP preferred). Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes from finance, supply chain, or analytics perspectives. Proficiency in SAP modules such as FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, or WM. Skilled in Excel and data analysis; familiarity with reporting and visualization tools. Experience in defining and implementing business processes and data standards. Project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives. Certifications such as CPA, Six Sigma, or PMP are a plus. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Working Conditions
Primarily office-based with minimal travel. Fast-paced environment requiring focus under pressure. High attention to detail and ability to manage mental workload effectively.
