Provide evidence-based, recovery-focused psychological services to adults with serious mental illness, including conducting individual and group therapy. Perform psychological assessments and develop treatment plans; document clinical progress and prepare required reports (including for individuals adjudicated Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI)). Complete initial, annual, and suicide risk assessments. Complete NGRI Acquittee Privilege Requests, Submission Reports, Commissioner-Appointed Evaluations, and Initial Analysis of Risk Reports by the assigned date. Complete comprehensive psychological testing reports as needed. Participate in Treatment Team meetings and consult with other team members about clients’ progress, symptomatology, goals, and treatment needs. Assist in the development and revision of individualized treatment plans. Complete treatment plan review (TPR) notes for each patient according to the schedule (every 14 days for the first 60 days, then at least monthly thereafter). Facilitate assigned PSR groups and/or provide PSR group coverage and co-facilitation as needed. Provide individual therapy, supportive counseling, and individual competency restoration as clinically indicated/assigned. Complete functional assessments and full behavior treatment plans when clinically indicated. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of psychological/therapeutic theory and evidence-based practices. Experience providing psychological services including treatment planning, assessment, and individual/group therapy with adults with serious mental illness. Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work as a collaborative team member. Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or related field from an accredited college/university. Licensure or eligibility for licensure. Experience providing mental health services to clients with severe mental illness. Additional Considerations
Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist is preferred. Experience providing psychological assessment/services in a hospital or correctional setting is preferred. Special Instructions
