Role As Plant Manager you will lead the full manufacturing facility at our Frankston, TX site. You’ll oversee production, maintenance, quality, safety, logistics, and continuous improvement efforts. Your leadership will ensure the plant meets delivery, cost, quality and safety goals while driving growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performance plant team including production, maintenance, quality, operations support, and logistics
Drive a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory standards
Manage production schedules to meet on‑time‑to‑promise (OTTP) and on‑time‑in‑full (OTIF) targets; optimize throughput, minimize downtime, control waste
Oversee equipment maintenance and reliability programs; collaborate with engineering/maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime
Ensure quality standards are met; work with QA to uphold customer specifications, internal audits, and continuous improvement
Implement Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies; lead process improvement initiatives to improve cost, speed, quality
Manage budget, cost control, staffing, and capital/operational expenditures at the facility
Coordinate with supply chain/fulfillment/logistics to ensure smooth flow of materials, production and finished goods
Report plant performance (KPIs, safety, quality, cost) to executive leadership; develop and execute action plans for improvement
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in printed packaging, folding cartons, converting, or related packaging industries. (Experience with folder‑gluers, die‑cutters, sheeters, tray‑formers, flexographic/offset printing is a strong plus.)
Proven experience driving operational excellence, with knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and KPI management
Strong business acumen: budgeting, cost control, staffing, performance reporting
Excellent leadership, people‑management, communication and change‑management skills
Comfortable in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment; able to travel occasionally if required
