Provide discipline leadership for the structural design and documentation of various sizes and scopes of projects. Support the Department Manager by providing leadership for the Structural discipline components, ensuring at a high level that the delivery of the Structural Design and Engineering deliverables meet quality expectations and schedules. Provide technical guidance and oversight to less experienced personnel as necessary, including mentoring with their career advancement. Assist management with structural staff forecasting to balance the number of resources with the amount of work. This may include increasing staff, loaning to and/or borrowing from other offices, or shifting work between offices. Assist in evaluation and employee performance feedback. Assist in project proposals by ascertaining scope and determining the required engineering/design budgets. Maintain effective communications with department members, higher management, and with clients. Promote the global data centric tool initiative and assist the team in growing technical competency. Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering Professional Engineering (P.E.) License Minimum 12+ years of experience in engineering design of building structural systems for pharmaceutical/industrial/chemical facilities. Demonstrated experience in leading the structural design for steel and concrete structures on a variety of project sizes and execution approaches. Advanced working proficiency in STAAD and STAAD Pro Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks Solid working knowledge of building codes and other applicable structural codes Previous leadership and mentoring experience for structural engineers and designers Strong verbal and written communication skills Seniority level
