Overview
Project Administrator position at Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. (ESAero) in the San Luis Obispo area. ESAero is a growing aerospace company offering rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate and administer the activities of product lines, projects and programs. Track all aspects of project activities including contractual requirements, deliverables, schedule, budget management, engineering/quality/operations coordination, and on-time delivery. Collaborate with project teams and internal functions (Engineering, Operations, Quality, Contracts, Finance, Management, Executives, etc.). Work with minimal instruction or supervision. Assemble and maintain information such as action item lists, statistical data, program schedules, resource management, financial information, and certification documentation to document program progress. Implement comprehensive use of Microsoft Projects and Project Web App as tracking tools on each project. Collect and analyze data and translate it into recommendations. Monitor multiple, often conflicting project schedules; keep schedules current with project managers. Track resource requirements across projects; forecast future resource needs and address shortfalls with Operations. Identify and escalate conflicts in schedule, budget, resources, and other issues; coordinate efforts between project management, manufacturing, supply chain, and other functions. Support re-planning efforts when needed and provide current status for reporting and invoicing. Adhere to legal and policy requirements, including US citizenship for federal contracts and ESAero’s Code of Ethics. Essential Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in Project Administration. Experience working with cross-functional teams. Prefer experience in aerospace. Education or Equivalent
BA/BS degree desired. Knowledge of operations, program management, project management, product development, and procurement desired. Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in program management, project management, engineering, quality, contracts, or operations. Necessary Skills, Knowledge & Judgement
Microsoft Projects and project tracking software Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills Problem solving and decision-making abilities Basic math skills; detail-oriented Proficiency with a variety of software applications and Microsoft products Disciplined execution of processes and systems US Citizen Preferred (but not required)
Familiar with ISO9001/AS9100 Language Skills
Excellent oral and written communication; ability to communicate with peers, customers, suppliers, and leadership Reasoning Ability
Ability to analyze and solve problems; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Experience and Work Environment
Work is in an office, manufacturing, engineering lab and test environments Willingness to travel approximately 10% Position is fully on-site Benefits
