KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems. The position is for a Business Analyst to join our team onsite in El Segundo, CA, Colorado Springs, CO or remote. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for KBR employment. Location: On-site or remote. Travel: Minimal. Working Hours: Standard. Responsibilities

The role focuses on providing analytical and documentation support across the program lifecycle, including: Authoring, editing, and maintaining technical documentation such as API references, system architecture guides, user manuals, and onboarding materials. Collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineers, product managers, QA) to extract and document technical details. Maintaining documentation through Confluence, Markdown, Sphinx, DITA, or similar tools; managing documentation pipelines integrated with code repositories. Supporting Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps practices within software development processes. Ensuring clear communication to both technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline 10+ years of experience in technical writing for complex software systems, developer tools, or enterprise applications Proven ability to author, edit, and maintain a wide range of technical documentation Proficiency with documentation tools and platforms such as Confluence, Markdown, Sphinx, DITA, or similar Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps practices Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to document technical details Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and documentation pipelines Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail Ability to tailor content for technical and non-technical audiences Desired: Experience documenting secure systems, regulated software, or mission-critical government platforms Familiarity with AI/ML, LLMs, or data-intensive applications and their documentation needs Experience creating diagrams and multimedia assets Structured writing methodologies and single-source publishing Documentation standards, style guides, and content governance Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments Contributions to internal knowledge bases, onboarding programs, and training materials Compensation : Basic compensation is $108,000 - $136,000 in California and $100,000-$124,000 in Colorado. The offered rate will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and internal parity. Ready to Make a Difference?
