Our client, an industry leader in telecommunications, has an excellent opportunity for a Test Engineer on a contract basis. Work will be a hybrid on-site/remote schedule in Englewood, CO. The Test Engineer will be responsible for working on all CPE releases.

Contract Test Engineer role focused on manual and automated testing for telecommunications software products, including CPE releases. Responsibilities
Manual and Automation Testing: Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure the quality and functionality of software products. Shift focus towards executing automation tests rather than developing new automation scripts. Validation of Automation Results: Analyze and validate the results of automated tests to ensure accuracy and reliability. Identify discrepancies and work on resolving them. Network Experience: Apply networking knowledge to test scenarios, ensuring that software interacts correctly with network components. Utilize understanding of networking concepts to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Unix and Router Experience: Use Unix-based systems for testing and automation tasks. Hands-on experience with routers and other networking equipment to simulate real-world scenarios. Test Execution and Thoughtful Analysis: Plan and execute test cases with a strategic approach. Analyze test results and provide insights for improvements. Requirements
Automation Testing Tools: Proficiency in at least one automation testing tool (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.). Flexibility to adapt to different tools as needed. Networking Knowledge: Understanding of basic networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols. Unix Skills: Experience with Unix/Linux command line for executing tests and managing test environments. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and solve complex problems related to software testing and network interactions. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and document test results. Job Details
