Reconciling all hotel cashier transactions and reviewing, organizing, and compiling management reports on a timely basis; ensuring accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions. Effectively communicating concerns and/or related issues to all levels of management; performing guest service agent duties as required (check-in, check-out, switchboard operation, reservations). Work with and understand financial information and data, and perform basic arithmetic functions. Cross-train in other accounting or hotel-related areas as needed. Prioritize job functions to meet deadlines; audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports. Prepare and distribute necessary daily reports (e.g., Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, Tax Reports) according to hotel standards; prepare and distribute month-end reports. Audit and reconcile Front Desk and Food & Beverage Cashier's work; audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards in a timely manner. Maintain accuracy of all numbers reported including statistics; input and update financial information into corporate communications system. Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual data processing system functions as required; keep management informed of unusual operational or financial events. Ensure overall guest satisfaction and respond to governmental inquiries as received; handle guest requests as needed. Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required; guest service experience preferred. Computer knowledge/skills required; must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Flexible and long hours sometimes required; late/overnight shift availability. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests; maintain a warm, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor. Maintain confidentiality of information and show initiative; cross-train in other hotel-related areas as needed. Physical ability to perform sedentary work, with occasional exertion described (as applicable); maintain regular attendance and comply with hotel standards. Attend all required meetings and trainings; maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming; comply with hotel standards and regulations. Must be able to understand and apply complex information from various sources to meet objectives. Employment type
