The HR Manager is a strategic partner responsible for managing all aspects of the HR function. This role is central to driving a positive company culture, supporting our employees, and aligning our people strategy with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can handle a wide range of HR duties and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Organizational Relationships
Reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with members of the executive, sales and manufacturing leadership teams. Interacts regularly with external vendors and 3rd-party service providers. Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy and Policy:
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices that comply with federal, state, and local employment laws. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on strategic HR initiatives related to staffing, retention, and employee engagement.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to extending offers and onboarding new employees. Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates who fit our fast-paced culture.
Employee Relations and Performance Management:
Address and resolve employee relations issues, conflicts, and grievances with a balanced, collaborative, and fair approach. Manage and refine the performance review process to support employee growth, development, and high performance.
HR Systems and Processes:
Serve as the in-house expert on our HR Information Systems (HRIS), ensuring data integrity and leveraging technology to streamline HR processes. Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, inform strategic decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
Compensation and Benefits:
Manage weekly payroll process. Administer compensation and benefits programs, including conducting salary research and making recommendations to ensure competitiveness. Oversee open enrollment and benefits administration, answering employee questions and managing vendor relationships.
Compliance and Administration:
Ensure all HR record-keeping is accurate, confidential, and compliant with all relevant regulations. Manage HR administrative tasks, including documentation, reporting, and leave of absence administration.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a privately held company. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, juggling multiple priorities and deadlines. Exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence all levels of the organization. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a track record of handling complex employee issues. Adept at navigating and leveraging HR technology and proficient with HRIS platforms. Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal employment laws and HR best practices. SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus. Seniority level
