We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary The Dominion Energy Virginia (DEV) Training Group is seeking a Training Specialist to join the team. This role focuses on the development and maintenance of training materials, to include, but not limited to, presentations, handouts, knowledge assessments, practical assessments of hands on performance, and computer-based modules.
Training Specialists partner with key stakeholders, such as DEV Training instructors, applicable business unit subject matter experts, and/or external partners to apply the ADDIE Model to ensure all training materials align with defined learning objectives, established development standards, and compliance regulations. These deliverables support training programs across Power Generation, Electric Transmission, Electric Distribution, and DEV Operations & Support, as well as other training initiatives as needed.
Note: This position does not involve instruction or facilitation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design principles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to build trust, obtain buy-in, and gain support for development projects
Equally effective working independently or in a team environment
Ability to process information quickly and provide clear, accurate answers
Ability to manage multiple projects, with varying degrees of complexity, at once
Operational knowledge and/or practical experience in Power Generation, Electric Transmission, or Electric Distribution is preferred
Abilities
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate Storyline (or similar authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate) is preferred
Experience
Intermediate-level candidates: Minimum 2 years of directly related experience in classroom and/or web-based training needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
Associate-level candidates: Zero to 2 years of directly related experience in classroom and/or web-based training needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or more will count as one full year toward qualifications.
Education Requirements Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is preferred; however, relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of the preferred educational requirement.
Preferred Field of Study:
Education or Adult Learning. Other academic disciplines may be considered if they align with the responsibilities of the role.
