Warehouse Associate

Selectek is looking for a Warehouse Associate in Canton to be a part of the logistics and supply chain department to maintain inventory, receive, distribute and stock goods in the warehouse. Responsibilities – 1. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and warehouse procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently. Follow all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies. 2. Assembly: Assemble parts and components according to established procedures and specifications using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks. 3. Shipping: Prepare and load shipments for outgoing orders according to established procedures and safety protocol. Ensure all necessary shipping documentation is completed accurately. 4. Receiving: Receive incoming shipments, unload goods from trucks, inspect shipments for accuracy and completeness, and verify quantities against packing lists or bills of lading. 5. Storage: Store received items in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and inventory management practices are followed. 6. Picking and Packing: Fulfil orders by accurately picking items (5-70lbs+) from pallets, shelves or bins according to order specifications. Pack items securely and label for shipment to prevent damage during transit. 7. Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory records. Report any discrepancies or inventory issues to the warehouse supervisor or manager. 8. Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies. Report any quality issues to the appropriate personnel and follow established procedures for handling non-conforming products. 9. Housekeeping: Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of clutter. Dispose of packing materials, pallets, and other waste in designated areas. Requirements – 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred but not required. 3. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Forklift certification is required within the first 30 days. 4. Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management tasks. 5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and inventory. 6. Ability to lift and carry 70lbs and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
