Clean and sanitize food production areas, including floors, walls, equipment, and machinery, in accordance with food safety regulations and company policies. Perform thorough cleaning of production lines used in the manufacturing process. Ensure the MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule) is completed in a timely manner. Ensure proper disposal of waste materials and keep waste areas clean and organized. Follow cleaning schedules and ensure tasks are completed promptly to avoid disruptions in production. Utilize and handle cleaning chemicals and sanitizers safely, in compliance with company safety guidelines. Conduct pre-operational checks to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met before production resumes. Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring stock is reordered as needed. Report maintenance or sanitation-related issues to the supervisor or management. Adhere to all company and regulatory standards, including USDA, FDA, and HACCP guidelines, ensuring sanitation procedures are consistently followed. Assist in audits and inspections related to sanitation practices and compliance. Participate in training programs to stay updated on sanitation procedures and food safety standards. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); food safety or sanitation certification is a plus. Previous experience in a food manufacturing or industrial sanitation role preferred. Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Physical Requirements
Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow slippery or erratically moving surfaces. Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at waist. Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
