Overview
Van Driver – District Wide at ServingSchools. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible. The Waterville Public School System serves over 2,000 students of all ages in and near Waterville, Maine. Our schools engage every child in challenging, student-centered learning while providing a safe, welcoming environment for them to learn and grow. We are seeking dependable and safety-focused Van Drivers to join our school transportation team. Van drivers transport smaller groups of students, including those with special routes or needs, ensuring they get to and from school safely and on time. The city of Waterville is located on the banks of the Kennebec River and is easily accessible from two exits off I-95 as well as Route 201. Waterville offers access to affordable housing, employment opportunities, medical facilities, outdoor activities, and a vibrant arts, entertainment, and culinary scene. Responsibilities
Obeys all state and local traffic laws. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for vans. Discharges students only at authorized stops. Transports only authorized students. Treats students with due respect and understanding. Adheres to all Waterville Board of Education policies.
Qualifications
Be 21 years of age. Have a valid driver's license. Be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and BMV-required check of driving history. Be able to pass a state of Maine DOE criminal history record check with fingerprinting.
