The Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Southern Indiana, a public university in Evansville, Indiana, seeks applications for a 9-month tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in Criminal Justice with a specialty in policing. Appointment will begin Fall 2026. Duties/Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor will be expected to teach face-to-face and online, at both the undergraduate and graduate level, maintain an active research agenda culminating in peer-reviewed publications, and engage in professional and university service activities. Required Knowledge And Skills
Applicants must hold or be nearing completion (ABD) of a doctoral degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology or related field. ABD candidates will be considered at the rank of Instructor if the terminal degree will be completed by the end of their first year of employment. If employment starts in August 2026, terminal degree must be completed by the end of July 2027. About The College
