Overview
The Financial Risk Advisory & Consulting Manager will primarily lead engagement teams in delivering finance advisory, internal control advisory and/or internal audit services. engagements may include mid-sized publicly traded companies (up to $5B in annual revenues), pre-IPO companies, industry-leading private companies, and government or other entities. Responsibilities
Lead engagement teams in the day-to-day delivery of finance advisory, internal control advisory and/or internal audit services. Interact with external auditors and senior management to co-develop expectations, design scope, manage project scope, and communicate key priorities and issues. Provide subject matter expertise related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), PCAOB and SEC standards; participate in scoping and risk assessment, identify significant accounts, prepare process documentation, create risk and control matrices, develop test plans, and ensure quality through reviews. Ensure accurate conclusions and deliver actionable recommendations; evaluate severity of deficiencies. Apply knowledge of IIA International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, COSO Internal Control Framework (2013) and COSO ERM Framework. Demonstrate exceptional project management and problem-solving skills; manage complex engagements and meet client deadlines; present to Board/C-suite audiences. Contribute to teaching and team development; foster a collaborative, professional, and responsive work environment. Travel 20% to 40% as required. Qualifications
5+ years of financial audit and/or advisory experience. CPA or CIA certification required or other relevant certification. Demonstrated success in a client service role, preferably with a Big 4 or national advisory firm, with responsibility for leading finance process advisory, internal controls advisory and/or internal audit engagements. Versatile industry experience a plus (healthcare, manufacturing & distribution, technology, payments, and/or banking). Working knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and technical accounting standards strongly preferred. Ability to interact with external auditors and senior management to co-develop expectations, design, and manage project scope; communicate priorities effectively. Subject matter expertise in SOX/PCAOB and SEC standards, risk assessment, and control documentation; ability to deliver actionable recommendations and accurate conclusions. Experience with IIAs standards, COSO frameworks, and ERM. Strong project management, problem solving, and communication skills; ability to present to senior leaders. Additional information
