Overview Sentara is hiring an Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB) Technician at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

Under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, you will assist in the nursing care and surgical services in the maternity services area. Responsibilities include providing patient care for comfort and hygiene, collecting data, and documenting procedures. Activities are based on accepted standards of operating room and obstetrical practice and are performed within the scope of your education, training, and experience.

LPN or Surgical Technologist education & training accepted. If not an LPN, experience as a Surgical Tech and CST is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Sentara Leigh Hospital Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Our hospital completed a renovation in 2016, including two new patient towers, a beautiful atrium, and a multi-story parking garage. Sentara Leigh Hospital includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital providing patients access to a full continuum of orthopedic care, from the preoperative phase and surgery to rehabilitation and home care services.
