Banquet Captain – Responsibilities
Banquet Captains are experienced and the finest of banquet servers. This role leads other colleagues by coaching, motivating, giving direction and may include training. They are responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event. This may include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties may include general banquet preparation, room refreshes and maintaining a sanitary environment. Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older A thorough understanding of Banquet Service required A minimum of one (1) year hotel Banquet Captain experience required Ability to effectively communicate in a fast-paced environment with guests and colleagues alike is required Serve Safe and Tips Certification required A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment Must have the physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds consistently Must have the physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including morning and afternoon shifts with weekend and holiday availability Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in dynamic situations Job details
