Overview
DevSecOps Architect role at Vibotek LLC. This candidate will be a key player to assess current maturity and establish enterprise-wide DevOps practices focused on CI/CD pipelines, scalable centralized DevOps across multiple technologies, and deployment targets across cloud and on-premise. Responsibilities
Assess the current stage, define and implement operating model, people/process transformation, and DevSecOps solution blueprint. Translate customer requirements to DevSecOps use cases. Identify DevSecOps bottlenecks in the value stream and provide recommendations. Participate in RFPs, create PoCs/Accelerators/IPs, and evangelize DevSecOps practices. Design high‑level DevSecOps architecture and solutioning as per client requirements. Drive meetings to gather technical and integration requirements for DevSecOps; derive and justify technical solutions to client stakeholders. Understand and define architectural solution blueprints, design frameworks, and methodologies used; create and implement DevSecOps solutions. Apply knowledge of security testing best practices across DevSecOps processes and infrastructure, including secure access controls, encryption, and monitoring. Git Repository Migration: experience migrating Git repositories between platforms (preference for GitLab to GitHub); deep understanding of Git internals and migration strategies. CI/CD Pipelines: designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. GitHub Actions: proficiency with GitHub Actions and the GitHub ecosystem, including workflow syntax and best practices. TypeScript: experience developing custom GitHub Actions using TypeScript is highly desirable. Containerization: solid understanding of Docker and container orchestration (AWS ECS and EKS). Kubernetes Interaction: proficiency with kubectl for interacting with Kubernetes clusters, specifically EKS. Package Management (Kubernetes): experience with Helm for managing Kubernetes applications. Build and Dependency Management: experience with Java (Maven, Gradle); Node.js (NPM, Yarn); Python (pip). Git: strong command-line Git skills and understanding of Git workflows (e.g., Gitflow, trunk-based development). Cloud Infrastructure: familiarity with AWS services relevant to application hosting (ECS, EKS). Deployment Automation: experience with deployment tools, ideally including Argo CD for GitOps-based deployments. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): strong proficiency in Terraform; Terraform Cloud awareness is a plus. Scripting: proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Java) for automation tasks. Problem Solving: excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills related to build, test, and deployment processes. Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience building CI/CD solutions, installing and integrating tools or leveraging cloud services (e.g., Argo CD, GoCD, AWS CodeDeploy, Harness, GitHub Actions). Testing and coverage tools (e.g., JMeter, Jira, Selenium, UFT). Release and deployment management tools/services. Configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible). Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Azure ARM, AWS CFT, Terragrunt) expertise. Strong communication and presentation skills to lead technical discussions. Working knowledge of SDLC activities and best practices (branching, merging, quality checks, builds management, environment progression, externalization of configurations and their management). Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical documentation. Strong planning, project management, coordination, and analytical skills. Experience working in a Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
