Marketing Coordinator & Retail Associate at Gage Marine - Boat Sales

Overview The Marketing Coordinator & Retail Associate position is a hybrid role that combines boutique retail service with digital marketing support for the Gage Lake Life Store. This individual will play a key part in creating exceptional customer experiences in-store while also supporting content creation, social media, email campaigns, and marketing analytics. This full-time position will pay $18-20 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

In-Store Retail: Greet and assist customers with product selection, styling advice, and gift recommendations.

Operate the cash register, process transactions, and manage returns/exchanges.

Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards.

Deliver a friendly, boutique shopping experience that reflects the Lake Life brand.

Co-manage the store’s third-party sales platform (Poshmark), including content capture/upload, listing creation, follow-up with interactions, packing and shipping, inventory reports, and coordination with the accounting team as items sell.

Social Media & Content Creation: plan and execute photoshoots with Lake Life Store Buyers; balance product and lifestyle-focused images; assist with shot lists and mood boards; prep merchandise for photoshoots; coordinate with volunteer models and manage post-production content for social channels; edit content for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms; schedule and publish posts with management approval; maintain a monthly content calendar; engage with followers and partners.

Photo and Video Editing: edit and format content to maintain brand guidelines; perform color correction, cropping, resizing, and retouching; use Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro.

Digital Marketing: write blogs for SEO, build and send email campaigns using Klaviyo, update Shopify product listings, and assist with copywriting and graphic design for web and social media.

Analytics & Marketing Support: track and report on social media, email, and website performance; provide insights to improve engagement and sales; support the marketing team with additional projects as capacity allows.

Events & Community Engagement: assist with the setup, promotion, and execution of store and community events; capture live content for social media; represent the Lake Life Store brand professionally.

Digital Asset Management & Cataloging: organize and maintain a robust photo and video library; implement tagging systems; ensure proper archiving and storage of digital files.

Marketing Support: collaborate with the marketing team on content strategy and adapt content for websites, social media, and email marketing.

Qualifications

Retail, customer service, or boutique experience preferred.

Motivation to capture high-quality photos and videos and create outstanding marketing content for Lake Life Store.

Strong skills in social media, photo/video editing, and content creation; 2+ years of social media/digital marketing experience.

Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.

Comfortable balancing customer-facing work with digital/creative projects.

Flexible, creative, and able to work independently or collaboratively.

Work Schedule This is a full-time position with 20 hours per week in-store and 20 hours per week in marketing. Nights and weekends are required as needed.
