Overview
Assistant F&B Manager role at HEI Hotels & Resorts in New York, NY. Manage day-to-day restaurant and room service operations for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and direct bar operations as directed by the Director of Restaurants and Bars.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner periods as directed by the Outlets Manager. Direct the day-to-day operations of the bar operations.
Interview, hire, train, develop, evaluate performance, resolve problems, and manage discipline as appropriate; retain and motivate associates across outlets.
Assist with the implementation of company programs and manage operations of Restaurant, Room Service and other F&B outlets to ensure compliance with LSOPs/SOPs, safety regulations and applicable laws; ensure high-quality service and hospitality.
Investigate and analyze current activities and information to make logical conclusions and recommendations.
Make decisions based on established policy and procedures.
Forecast, monitor, control and report on outlet budgets and components (labor, food, beverage, supplies, equipment) to maximize revenue and minimize costs while ensuring adequate staffing and quality guest service.
Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and future sales prospects.
Monitor and control maintenance/sanitation of outlet areas and equipment to protect assets and ensure compliance and quality service.
Attend on-site regularly and perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Skills
More than two years of post-high school education.
Two years of full employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
Hotel experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge of restaurant/hotel practices and procedures; ability to follow policies and determine courses of action accordingly.
Supervision/management and effective communication skills.
Ability to investigate and analyze information and make logical recommendations; ability to make occasionally decisions guided by policy and procedures.
Knowledge of hotel operations, marketing plans, security/safety programs, personnel and labor relations, business planning, budget forecasting, quality assurance, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt communication to different audiences.
Compensation Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually
