The Senior Quantity Surveyor may oversee the quantity surveying team for onshore oil, gas and petrochemical projects through all project phases. to join our team in our office in Houston, Texas. The role may oversee the quantity surveying team for onshore oil, gas and petrochemical projects through all project phases. Responsibilities include cost estimating, overall cost forecasts, and post-contract administration including detailed measurement of IFC/AFC drawings and subsequent agreement with fabrication contractor. Responsibilities Typical responsibilities Utilize RHiComs software system Develop schedules of rates and associated preambles for unit rate contracts Develop bills of quantities for bid evaluations Identify need and reach agreement on star rates Confirm validity of variation order request and claims from contractors Prepare and review of change management policies and procedures Supervise from 1 to 10 subordinate Quantity Surveyors depending on project size and requirements Prepare invitations to tender and schedules of prices for major construction contracts Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood, now or in the future. Expected Bachelor’s degree Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field and 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation Domestic and international travel required up to 10% This position requires 5 years\' experience in the following below: Performing quantity surveying duties within the international oil & gas industry Working on, administering, and managing various types of contracts, including lump sum, reimbursable, unit rates, time & material, and contracts with incentive bonus schemes utilizing a specialty unit rate Contracting, estimating, and bill of quantities and schedule of rates software system.
