Position Purpose The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive HR support, coordinating various HR functions while assisting with the management of general HR administration, employee records, payroll processing, workers' compensation claims, and leave management.

This role collaborates closely with the Director of People Experience, ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day HR activities, maintaining compliance with policies and regulations, and contributing to a positive employee experience.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties HR Administration & Support

Provide administrative support to the Director of People Experience.

Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation.

Support employee training programs and track completion.

Maintain and update employee records in compliance with policies and regulations.

Workers' Compensation & Leave Management

Process workers' compensation claims and ensure timely follow-up.

Oversee leave requests (e.g., FMLA, sick leave, etc.) and maintain accurate records.

Communicate leave status and documentation requirements to employees.

Payroll Processing & Administration

Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure timely payment.

Maintain accurate records of time‑off, attendance, overtime, and other payroll‑related data.

Ensure accurate payroll deductions (taxes, benefits, etc.) are applied.

Resolve payroll discrepancies and assist with payroll tax filings.

Personnel Records & Reporting

Maintain up‑to‑date employee records in HRIS, ensuring confidentiality.

Submit payroll‑related data, including time‑off and deductions, for processing.

Assist with generating HR reports (e.g., attendance, turnover, payroll) as needed.

Employee Relations & Communication

Serve as a point of contact for HR inquiries (benefits, payroll, policies).

Ensure employees are informed of HR programs, policies, and updates.

Address employee concerns and provide guidance as needed.

Project & Coordination Support

Assist with HR events, wellness programs, and employee recognition initiatives.

Support special HR projects and ensure deadlines are met.

Collaborate with HR team members to improve processes and initiatives.

General Administrative Duties

Perform routine office tasks, including filing and document management.

Ensure all HR‑related documents are well‑organized and up to date.

Qualifications Required Knowledge

Knowledge of HR administrative processes, payroll, benefits, leave management, and workers' compensation.

Familiarity with state and federal employment laws and HRIS systems.

Experience Required

2-3 years of HR generalist or HR administrative support experience, including payroll and leave management.

Education/Certification

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent HR‑related experience.

HR Certification (SHRM‑CP, PHR) a plus.

Skills/Abilities

Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Ability to oversee confidential information with discretion.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll/HRIS systems.
