Overview

Associate Investigator role at Corteva Agriscience located in Johnston, Iowa. Corteva is seeking to hire an Associate Investigator to join a team building the future of agriculture through science and technology. Responsibilities

Design, execute, and support scientific experiments with precision and attention to detail. Prepare and perform quality control on laboratory buffers and reagents. Conduct DNA extractions in accordance with established SOPs and quality standards. Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of laboratory instruments and automated systems. Train, mentor, and oversee contract employees to ensure consistent lab practices. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization. Collaborate with global laboratory leads to align on best practices and innovation. Lead and support RMS (Research Management System) initiatives and documentation. Partner with production teams to ensure DNA pipeline outputs meet customer expectations. Perform routine lab support tasks including inventory management, restocking, cleaning, and equipment upkeep. Maintain a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with CAMS and EHS standards. Provide backup support for production platforms as needed. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience. Strong understanding of molecular biology techniques. Familiarity with genotyping platforms and high-throughput processing workflows. Experience with laboratory automation and information management systems (LIMS). Knowledge of quality control/assurance principles and documentation practices. Inventory and supply chain coordination within a lab setting. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and global teams. Adaptability to shifting priorities while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, especially in response to quality issues, equipment downtime, or staffing challenges. Ability to follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines with precision.
