We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager (Germany based) .
This role is highly collaborative and requires drive and organisation, and excellent German HGB knowledge and tax work experience. You will work with global team to support business growth and expansion. Location:
hybrid or remote. The candidate must be flexible with travelling to Munich office whenever required. Job responsibilities
Prepare and file all German tax returns (corporation tax, VAT, ZM/intrastat, wage tax) and support external tax audits. Monitor legislative changes (HGB, IFRS, AO, UStG etc.) and translate their impact into clear guidance for management. Act as primary contact for Finanzamt, customs authorities and external advisers; proactively identify tax-planning opportunities and mitigate risks. Statutory & group reporting
Drive the monthly, quarterly and year-end close in accordance with Novogene Group policies, IFRS and the German Commercial Code (HGB). Compile local GAAP financial statements, management decks and variance analyses; ensure timely sign-off by auditors and headquarters. Audit & internal-control ownership
Coordinate annual statutory and group audits; maintain robust documentation, process narratives and SOX-style internal controls. Champion continuous process improvements to strengthen governance and data integrity across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay and record-to-report cycles. Treasury, AR & credit management
Oversee cash-flow forecasting, bank relationships and FX risk; implement efficient payment runs and hedging where required. Lead overdue collections, set customer credit limits and flag high-risk accounts; report ageing KPIs to sales and leadership teams. Evaluate and place all German insurance lines (property, liability, cyber, employee benefits) together with global risk management. Periodically benchmark coverage, premiums and brokers to ensure optimal protection and cost efficiency. Operational support & asset stewardship
Conduct month-end stock counts and fixed-asset verifications at the Munich sequencing lab; reconcile variances and drive shrinkage counter-measures. Provide financial documentation for bids and public tenders, partnering closely with sales and PMO teams. Cross-border coordination
Support Dutch subsidiary on tax filings and dialogue with the Belastingdienst; harmonise policies across the EU cluster. People & ad-hoc projects
Serve as a finance business partner to local management, offering insights that boost profitability and compliance. Lead or contribute to special projects (system roll-outs, process digitalisation, ESG reporting) as assigned by line management. Other tasks required by line managers when necessary. Your profile
Master\'s degree in accounting/finance and economics or equivalent degree through experience You have 2-5 years practical experience in the field of taxes, preferably in the tax administration, a corporation or a tax consulting or auditing firm Candidates holding a CPA or similar qualification are preferred Experience working in an international organization will be an advantage but not essential Strong communication skills, both spoken and written Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Visual Basic), working knowledge of accounting systems Process-oriented and good knowledge of the company\'s end-to-end processes Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills Attention to detail, organization and accuracy You approach problems in a structured way and always keep a calm head Integrity and people-oriented Team player Very good knowledge of German, good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken. Knowledge of another European language is an advantage Written and spoken knowledge of Chinese will be an added advantage. About our company
