Postdoctoral Appointee - MSD Autonomous Materials Lab at Argonne National Laboratory. Responsibilities
Conduct materials synthesis using CVD/PVD or van der Waals fabrication. Characterize materials using scanning electron microscopy and related techniques. Contribute to developing an integrated autonomous lab system for structure-property characterization of novel materials heterostructures for quantum and microelectronics applications. Engage in programming, interfacing hardware, and developing machine-learning methods as part of an interdisciplinary project with material science, computer science, and robotics teammates. Qualifications
Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or related field. Strong experimental background in materials synthesis (CVD, PVD) or van der Waals materials. Additional expertise in machine-learning methods, programming, and robotics is highly desirable. Job Details
