Water Wastewater Project Engineer to join our growing team in either Virginia Beach, Virginia, Arlington, Virginia or Hanover, Maryland. Role accountabilities

The Water Wastewater Project Engineer will evaluate, plan, design, permit and support management of projects for water/wastewater and conveyance (pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities). Other projects may include asset management, distribution system improvement projects, hydraulic modeling, conveyance-related construction projects, pump station rehabilitation, gravity sewer main rehabilitation construction projects, inflow and infiltration assessment and reduction programs, water treatment and reclamation. Support professional engineering services during construction: construction observation, review of shop drawings, responses to requests for information (RFIs) and permit closeouts. Execute water and wastewater projects through planning, design, and construction phases, including development of design calculations, technical report sections, technical design drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of project requirements. Prepare reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials; participate in client meetings to foster effective client communication and project alignment. Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and maintain quality, health, and safety standards. Coordinate to meet project milestones within budget. Work independently and collaboratively with teams across geographic locations; supervise and mentor junior engineers and design/drafting staff. Travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, or overseeing construction activities as needed. Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

8 years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or related field. Professional Engineering (PE) License. Preferred Qualifications

10 years of relevant water/wastewater experience. Master of Science/Engineering in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field. Experience in design or consulting engineering or municipal work environment. Project task leadership experience including managing overall project delivery, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring. Active participation in regional and/or national professional association(s). Why Arcadis?

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $152,000/year.
