Security Guard – Telecom Patrols
in
Bessemer, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and media environment. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and conducting thorough patrols throughout the location. Your role will also involve providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. What You’ll Do
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help deter potential issues, with working environments and conditions that may vary depending on the location.
Monitor for unusual activity and promptly report any security-related concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with on-site staff and visitors to address questions and provide guidance related to security-related matters.
Maintain detailed logs and reports of patrols, incidents, and any significant observations during assigned shifts.
What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
A valid guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control systems and/or badge systems is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
