Description
We are seeking an experienced Research Assistant 2 to support biochemical and molecular biology studies. In this role, you will perform a variety of laboratory techniques and assist with maintaining efficient daily operations.
Perform molecular biology and protein biochemistry protocols, such as cloning and plasmid preparation, PCR, genomic DNA isolation, protein extraction, immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation.
Perform in vitro cell culture and cell biology experiments.
Maintain lab inventories and stock solutions; order supplies.
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe lab environment.
Assist with data organization and analysis.
Salary Range: $28.88/hour - $46.46/hour
May convert to career.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years of hands‑on experience conducting molecular or cell biology experiments in a research laboratory (relevant internship or volunteer experience may be considered).
Demonstrated proficiency in cell culture techniques.
Computer literacy, including experience with data entry, spreadsheets, or analysis software (e.g. GraphPad).
Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
