Perform clinical duties as a general Non-Invasive Cardiologist with a specialization in Advanced Imaging Interpretation, including patient care through clinic visits, diagnostic readings, and inpatient coverage. Oversee the Cardiology Diagnostic Imaging Center and drive growth and development of the Advanced Imaging Program. Collaborate with the echo lab medical director to ensure high-quality standards for cardiac MRI, CT, and echocardiography, while maintaining accreditation standards. Ensure all medical programs align with Swedish Medical Group (SMG) standards for quality care; ensure physicians and APCs adhere to SMG guidelines. Develop and implement strategic plans with dyad partner and regional leadership; assist with medical staff recruitment; keep clinic staff informed about SMG strategies and responses to current issues. Share accountability for financial performance targets and compliance with accreditation standards and organizational requirements. Leadership & Program Development
Define and execute a roadmap for advanced imaging aligned with Swedish’s cardiovascular strategy. Lead the launch and growth of Cardiac PET and expand cardiac MRI/CT programs to meet evolving patient needs. Maintain Level III standards for cardiac CT/MRI and other modalities; implement robust quality programs ensuring accuracy, safety, and accreditation compliance. Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Partner with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, and radiology to support advanced procedures (e.g., TAVR, Mitral/Tricuspid interventions). Develop protocols for chest pain imaging in ED and inpatient settings; optimize imaging for structural heart and complex interventions. Education & Research Leadership
Mentor physicians and APCs; develop fellowship opportunities in advanced imaging. Drive clinical research initiatives and foster academic partnerships to position Swedish as an innovation hub. Qualifications & Requirements
Licensed Cardiologist in the State of Washington Swedish Medical Center medical staff member in good standing Board-certified in Specialty Drug Licenses 5+ years as a practicing Cardiologist with Level III competency in cardiac MRI, CT, and nuclear imaging Participating providers status with Medicare and Medicaid Programs 3+ years of leadership experience as a Medical Director of similar programs Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is between $550,000 and $670,000 per year. The compensation amounts may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable. CME benefits may be available. Work Location & Organization
