What does a Syrup Technician do? A Syrup Technician is responsible for properly receiving and storing concentrate and sweetener, batching syrups scheduled for production according to detailed instructions, monitoring and controlling syrup flow to production lines, and sanitation within the Syrup Room and associated equipment. Validation and testing of inbound raw materials is occasionally required.
Responsibilities Uphold all safety practices to prevent injuries from unsafe work practices and conditions. Report safety hazards to management.
Batch Syrup as per CCNA recipe.
Clean and sanitize the syrup room and associated equipment including tanks, lines, manifolds, valves, floors and walls using required PPE and according to work instructions and SSOPs.
Perform analysis of incoming, in-process and finished materials using analytical standardized procedures.
Receive, monitor and report on concentrate and raw material inventories.
Become certified to operate a Powered Industrial Truck/Forklift (PIT) to move raw materials.
Follow all required work instructions, work aids and forms related to Quality, Environmental, Safety & Food Safety Policies.
Understand, monitor and support ISO/GFSI compliance, FDA/USDA regulatory requirements, and Food Safety & Quality Programs as implemented by the company.
Keep accurate and detailed documentation.
Requirements High School Diploma (or GED) required.
2+ years Lab technician experience required.
1+ years Production/manufacturing experience required, or 1+ years Mixing and Batching experience in the food or beverage industry preferred.
Familiarity with lab safety, handling hazardous materials and ability to lift 65 pounds.
Must be computer proficient, Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and multi-task.
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.

Base pay range is $22.91 to $30.07 plus bonus structure (dependent on role). Pay offered will depend on location and prior experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
