Brothers Desserts is seeking a 2nd shift Production Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure quality, safety, and meet production targets. Base Pay Range $120,000/yr - $130,000/yr Job Summary The 2nd shift Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Brothers Desserts to ensure optimal production, quality, and safety. This position will manage a shift for the operations team to achieve attainment goals with a strong focus for Safety and Quality; while leading the team by mentoring and coaching your staff. Job Accountabilities Oversee and manage the entire production process of ice cream manufacturing. Ensure production targets are met, and the product is manufactured to the highest quality standard. Implement and enforce good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety standards. Analyze current production processes and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize productivity. Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing production team, ensuring optimal performance. Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities. Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure that products meet strict quality standards. Investigate and address any issues or complaints related to product quality. Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in resource allocation. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary to avoid any disruptions in the production process. Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards. Address any unsafe acts or conditions to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of staff. Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, issues, and accomplishments. Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and employee performance. Maintain and complete all required documentation following OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements (e.g., logs, records, checklist, etc.) Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Food Science, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry. Knowledge of food safety standards, GMP, and regulatory requirements. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem?solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work in a fast?paced, high?pressure environment. Experience 5 years of experience working as a Production Manager. 6 years of experience working in Food Manufacturing.
