Job Category : Engineering - Manufacturing Requisition Number : MANUF001323 Locations: Milaca, MN, USA Locations Showing 1 location Milaca, MN, USA Description Apply product design, materials and parts, fabrication process, tooling and production equipment, capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards knowledge to develop, evaluate, and improve Nortech’s product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, fixtures, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Interact with operations, manufacturing, finance and other internal subject matter experts to define, design, test, implement, and support high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective product tooling and manufacturing processes. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and FOCUS methodologies to assist with analyzing and planning workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designing equipment layout and workspace for maximum quality and efficiency. Coordinate with Quality and work to establish process controls on new products. Review and estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to inform management decisions. Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes. Participate in vendor discussions, evaluate and recommend equipment product specifications and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts in partnership with internal subject matter experts. Update and maintain engineering documents and files in accordance with Company policy. Participate in engineering and general design review and conduct follow-up actions. Participate in customer meetings to discuss designs, concerns, schedules, and other matters. Keep supervisor informed about project status, workload, concerns, questions, and progress. Demonstrate and support Nortech’s Mission, Core Values, policies and procedures at all times. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The pay range for this role is $68,000 to $80,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other candidate qualifications. Please note, relocation is not offered for this position. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Qualifications Education Required Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field. Experience Required Experience using Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and/or similar software collaboration tools at a proficient level. Experience handling engineering documents and files in a document control system. In addition, experience handling abstract and concrete concepts and variables. Professional engineering team member experience to communicate, research, design, develop, and problem solve engineering project assignments using written and oral presentation methods. Experience with manufacturing and process improvement methods such as electrical component, printed circuit board (PCB), mechanical, electro-mechanical, photonic, molding production, assembly equipment and/or maintenance procedures. Experience including:o Product and manufacturing design, materials and parts review, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.o Analyzing and planning workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, equipment layout, workspace, and resource needs for maximum quality and efficiency.o Review and estimation of production times, staffing requirements, and costs to inform management decisions. 1 year 1 year One year of experience using engineering design (CAD) software, reading and drafting engineering specifications using technical terms and product design methodology in a manufacturing environment.
