Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Patient Care Tech/ CNA Med Surg Unit.
As a Patient Care Tech/ CNA Med Surg Unit at MercyOne, you will be under the supervision and direction of the staff nurse, assist patients with activities of daily living, and provide patients with basic nursing care. Assists in maintaining a safe, clean environment in accordance with established methods and procedures of MercyOne Newton Medical Center.
Schedule:
* 12-hour shifts; 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; Nights; rotating weekend and holidays
General Requirements:
* Provides/assists with personal care and activities of daily living. * Assists with admission, discharge and transfer of patients to and from the unit. * Measures and records heights, weights, intakes and outputs, and appetites as directed. * Obtains vitals and blood glucose readings as directed. * Maintains an awareness of personal and patient safety when performing all duties.
Education:
* Completion of 75-hour, 120-hour or 150-hour Certified Nursing Assistant Program and must be on State C.N.A. Registry. * Must be 16 years old * Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter - Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire. * American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certified within six (6) weeks of hire.
