Overview

ATA Services, Inc. is seeking to hire experienced Dental Assistants to work on a temporary assignment in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM.

Pay Rate: $68.45 per hour with weekly pay. Start Date: ASAP. Schedule: 25 hours per week. Locations: Albuquerque, NM and Santa Fe, NM.

Responsibilities

• Support the school-based prevention program as a dental assistant.
• Assist the Registered Dental Hygienist in evaluating children’s teeth, applying dental sealants or fluoride varnish, and maintaining health records.
• Prepare materials for the application of dental sealants and fluoride varnish in collaboration with the dental hygienist.
• Schedule and confirm clinical appointments; receive and maintain records; order dental and office materials/supplies.
• Maintain dental supplies in collaboration with the Registered Dental Hygienist following OSHA infection control guidelines.
• Conduct oral health education training to school-aged children, adolescents, and adults in various settings.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant License, Registration, or Certification as required by the state.
• Current CPR or BLS certificate.
• 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient at chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
• Demonstrate and provide instruction on proper sterilization and infection control techniques.
• State certification in expanded functions as required by the state.
